LOCAL RESIDENTS TO BE HONORED AT AMIT ANNUAL DINNER
New York City, November 2, 2006...... Debbie and David Isaac, residents of New Rochelle, New York, will be honored at the 2006 AMIT Annual Dinner, scheduled for Sunday, December 3, 2006, at the Grand Hyatt New York.
Hundreds of friends and supporters of AMIT are expected to attend the event. All proceeds will benefit AMIT’s network of more than 60 schools, youth villages, child care facilities and other programs serving almost 17,000 children and young people in Israel. The evening’s other honorees are Rona and Ira Kellman of New York City and Sondra and Dr. Myron Sokal of West Hempstead, New York. Chairing the dinner are Esther and Donald Press of Long Beach; Lois and Michael Burak of New York City are the 2006 Tribute Journal chairs.
Debbie Isaac is a member of the Executive Board of AMIT and of the New Generation Board of Directors, as well as a national vice president of the organization. She has been particularly active in efforts to redesign and revitalize the AMIT Bar and Bat Mitzvah Program, and also is a member of the National Finance Committee.
In the New Rochelle community, Mrs. Isaac currently is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Young Israel of New Rochelle and is very involved in running programs at SAR Academy in Riverdale. She is a former member of the Board of the Young Israel of New Rochelle Women’s League and a former trustee of Westchester Day School in Mamaraneck. Previously, Mrs. Isaac pursued a career as a corporate reorganization attorney for Fortune 500 companies at Kaye Scholer in New York City and as a real estate attorney at Cuddy & Feder in White Plains. She is a graduate of Barnard College and New York University School of Law.
Mr. Isaac is chief executive officer of The Garden City Group, Inc., specialists in legal administration services for corporations and law firms. A graduate of Yeshiva College and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Mr. Isaac is a member of the Advisory Board of The Brennan Center for Justice and is a past recipient of the Distinguished Legal Service Award sponsored by Corporate Legal Times and Lexis-Nexis. He also serves on the Business Advisory Board of AMIT, the Board of the United Way of New Rochelle, and the Board of Directors of the Westchester Chapter of JNF. He is a past member of the Board of the Young Israel of New Rochelle.
Mr. and Mrs. Isaac are the parents of four children, 16-year-old Tani and 10-year-old triplets, Jared, Eliana and Arielle. The family has resided in New Rochelle for 16 years.
