AMIT 2007 PRESIDENT’S CIRCLE EVENING SCHEDULED AT NEW-YORK HISTORICAL SOCIETY

New York City, March 19, 2007...... AMIT has scheduled its 2007 President’s Circle Evening for Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at the New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West, in New York City, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The evening will include an elegant buffet dinner and docent-led tours of the museum’s exhibitions.

Amy and Todd Kesselman of Scarsdale and Sheri and Stanley Raskas of New Rochelle are co-chairing the event. President’s Circle, AMIT’s foremost donor group, is chaired by Suzanne Doft, who resides in Manhattan, and Barbara Nordlicht, a resident of Long Beach. All proceeds will benefit AMIT’s network of schools and almost 17,000 students in Israel.

Home to New York City’s oldest museum, the New-York Historical Society was founded in 1804. Its holdings cover four centuries of American history and include one of the world’s greatest collections of historical artifacts, American art and other materials documenting the history of the United States as seen through the prism of New York City and State.

During the President’s Circle Evening, docent-led tours will be offered of the exhibitions, “New York Divided: Slavery and the Civil War,” and “A New Light on Tiffany,” as well as of the Henry Luce II Center for the Study of American Culture.

Reservations for the President’s Circle Evening, an annual AMIT event, begin at $500 per person, with additional donor opportunities available. Valet parking is included with all reservations. Please call 212-477-4720 for further information.
