AMIT FORMS NEW GENERATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS

October 28, 2003......A group of 60 young women have come together to form the New Generation Board of Directors of AMIT. The New Generation Board, which held its first meeting last month, will help chart the future of the 78-year-old organization, as well as produce its next generation of leaders.

Chairing the New Generation Board of Directors is Debbie Moed, a resident of Englewood, New Jersey. Her co-chair is New York City resident Peggy Danishefsky. The Board's membership represents communities throughout the New York/New Jersey region plus Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, Ohio and California.

"There was tremendous energy in the room at our first meeting," commented Ms. Moed. "We consider ourselves the vanguard of a revolution; the instruments of change and innovation who will enhance AMIT's success. We hope to create," she added, "a more contemporary image for our organization that is relevant for today's women."

Membership in the New Generation Board of Directors entails a fiscal commitment as well as a dedication of time. The Board has established four major committees - Education and Communications, Fundraising, Israel Experience, and Leadership Development - which will deal with issues of policy and procedures as well as champion specific projects.

"Our New Generation Board," Ms. Moed noted, "was created by AMIT's seasoned volunteers because they recognized the need to train and educate future leaders. It is our mission," she added, "to ensure that new creative ideas and modern modes of thinking will be implemented at AMIT."
